TREES OF ENCHANTMENT

'Trees of Enchantment', for an 8-channel set of surround loudspeakers, is a sonic representation of the forests of the Canadian Rockies during the winter. I walked through the forests and recorded the environmental sounds such as the sounds of trees and water flowing below thin layers of ice. I also touched and played with whatever was around me in a search for rich and original sounds. Those sounds were then edited, shaped, manipulated and mixed to form a sonic reflection of the Canadian Rockies in winter.
